Does spraying in male cats persist after being neutered?

I've read mixed information on the Internet – Some say the male cat must be neutered before spraying, or the behavior continues even after being castrated. Others say that sterilization takes on a branding problem, even after she has already developed. And others say that if they are neutral after spraying them developed, is a possibility 50-50 that it would stop spreading. I heard the responses of people who have firsthand knowledge or experience, if possible. Thank you!
